CEO + Wealth Manager
I’m doing exactly what I envisioned doing as a teenager! Since obtaining my Finance degree in 1990 from Iowa State University, I’ve been helping people make better decisions. Poterack Capital Advisory was established as an independent private firm in 2001, so my team could focus on Fiduciary, long-term client relationships and a client experience not typically available at “Big Box” brokerage firms in the industry.
Our process, from initially getting acquainted through being accepted as a client, is diligent and thorough. We want you to have confidence and achieve all your planning outcomes in a tax-efficient, cost-effective way! Our Fiduciary process and fee-based approach may be a breath of fresh air from commissioned salespeople you’ve met with previously.
I believe in asking great questions focused on you and listening. This is in contrast to a sales pitch approach made before understanding your unique values and objectives.
Our transparency and forthrightness may be unique to your experience with the financial industry.
My wife Dawn and I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling, and delicious foods – not necessarily in that order! Between us we have 6 adult children and one youngster (Lincoln, age 11) still at home with us.
Alec Quaid, CFP®
I have been in the industry for 7 years and absolutely love what I do. Guiding families through the intricacies of financial planning is both an honor and a joy. Rest assured, my commitment to continuous growth as an advisor is unwavering, fueled by my genuine love for this field. I have achieved the Certified Financial Planner™ designation and have been elected to the Board of Directors for the Colorado Financial Planning Association.
I am originally from Michigan but grew up in Fort Collins, CO and returned to the Midwest (Iowa), at Northwestern College for my first two years of college where I played basketball. The subsequent two years I attended Colorado State University, where I attained my degree in Financial Planning. Yes, they actually had that degree, and I knew this was the career I wanted to be in early on!
My wife Sydney and I reside in the town of Castle Rock, CO, just 30 minutes south of Denver. We have been married for 3 years and are expecting our first child, a baby boy, in April! We stay busy with skiing, hiking, golfing, working out, and the many other outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. We are active members of our local church, and our Christian faith holds a paramount place in our lives.
Client Relationship Manager
I joined the PCA team over 16 years ago, with a background in marketing and corporate communications.
My role as Client Relationship Manager is to ensure our client experience is exactly as it should be. I am the one who will guide your experience with our firm.
I am responsible for our online presence (our website, Facebook, LinkedIn, podcast, and blog) and coordinate the various events we host. I also "direct traffic" to assure whatever you want, you'll get to the right person!
Everyone at PCA is obsessed with providing exceptional client service and value, and I lead the pack!
When I manage to tear myself away from work, I enjoy spending time with my close-knit family, exercising, and traveling to places with palm trees.
Director of Operations
As the Director of Operations at PCA, I focus on client service and account administration. I graduated from California Lutheran University as a Business major with an emphasis in finance. After spending two years in corporate finance, I knew I wanted more fulfillment in my career, with a desire to make an impact. I’ve seen the commitment Ryan displays while servicing clients under his motto, “it’s about relationships, not transactions” and I’ve made it my goal to embody that as well.
I am an avid traveler and have visited 17 countries so far! My husband and I, along with our Australian shepherd, Sassy, live in Naples, Florida. Successfully working from home allows flexibility to travel and stay connected with family throughout the country. Family and faith serve as our guiding light.
Working in a virtual firm, I love that, in a single day, I can connect with a client who is out golfing in Florida, one who is watching snow fall in Iowa, and another who is celebrating their retirement in North Carolina. My favorite part of every day is interacting with clients and sharing in the joy of their family, career, and financial success and wellness.
